For Lent 2015, we are joining with our ecumenical friends within Churches Together in Guisborough. This year the course is entitled ‘Finding Light in Darkness’ highlighting the possibilities for life in barren times by Revd Alistair Macrae.
Starting on Thursday 26th February, each session will start at 7.00pm with a frugal meal followed at 7.30pm with worship, input and discussion, finishing at 9.00pm.
Every week the venue will alternate between the Methodist Church (Wednesdays) and St. Paulinus Roman Catholic Church (Thursdays), with each session led by a different group.
The course will run as follows:
Thursday 26th February – Life Through Imitation (Genesis 2: 15-17, 3: 1-7; Matthew 4: 1-11)
Wednesday 4th March – Blessed To Be A Blessing (Genesis 12: 1-4a; John 3: 1-17)
Thursday 12th March – The God Who Provides (Exodus 17: 1-7; John 4: 5-42)
Wednesday 18th March – What Is My Vocation? (1 Samuel 16: 1-13; John 9: 1-41)
Thursday 26th March – Dry Bones Come To Life (Ezekiel 37: 1-14; John 11: 1-45)
Wednesday 1st April – Faith In Tough Times (Isaiah 50: 4-9a; Matthew 27: 11-54)
Everyone is welcome to come along and join with us as Christians in Guisborough and draw closer to God in faith.
