Fairworld Film Club – January 2016

GMC Film Club - January 2016

January’s Film club will take place on Saturday 9th January when we’ll be showing Selma (Cert 12A).

This is the true story chronicling the tumultuous three-month period in 1965, when Martin Luther King led the campaign to secure equal voting rights in the face of violent opposition with the epic march from Selma to Montgomery. Director Ava DuVernay’s “Selma” tells the story of how the revered leader and visionary Dr. Martin Luther King and his brothers and sisters in the movement prompted social and political change.

Doors will open at Guisborough Methodist Church at 6:30pm and the film will start at 7pm. There will be drinks and snacks available or feel free to bring your own.

There’s no charge for the evening.
