Please can we say a very big ‘thank you’ to everyone who supported the bazaar event on Saturday 12th November 2016 – thank you!
It was a tremendous effort on the part of each person who took part, attended, or helped in whatever capacity. Without such magnificent help and support, these events couldn’t happen; it is all very much appreciated.
On Saturday November 12th we are planning a 12 hour (or thereabouts) fund-raising day to raise funds for a new (long-needed!) church sound system for upstairs and downstairs.
The day will kick-off at 9.30am with our usual coffee morning, and finish sometime in the evening after our photographic extravaganza.
The coffee morning will offer its usual variety of cakes, biscuits, bacon (and for the first time sausage) butties, teacakes etc, and in addition, lining the walls of the Hall will be a variety of stalls which will remain open until 2.30pm. These will include home-made greetings cards, a stall of preserves, a bottle stall, a handicraft stall including knitted goods and jewellery, a stall selling second hand books, jigsaws and games, a stall of new Christmas decorations, a children’s bran tub, Christian books and gifts, and a cake stall.
From 12 noon we will be serving lunches and tea and coffee will be available throughout our Bazaar’s opening hours. Upstairs the church will be available for quiet prayer and reflection.
And as a finale to finish our fabulous fund-raising day we offer for your delectation “TRAVELLING LIGHT” at 7.00pm – a presentation of photographs by our friend, Colin Hugill. His last appearance with us was a year ago when we immediately asked him to come again, as we enjoyed the evening so much. Jean Ryan will be selling her wonderful cards, many of which use Colin’s photographs.
There will be no charge for the evening but donations towards our new Sound System will be gratefully received. Come and join us to end our day in style.
